A Massacre to a War
A Massacre to a War
When terror overwhelms a land's peaceful valleys,
Their haven is threatened with losses unimaginable.
Bodies strewn across the earth's temple- Its indescribable
How the legionaries gather at their rallies.
Vengeance follows by the harmed removing resources suppliable,
Civilians understanding that the opposer was unable,
Its power deducted- yet, shadows remain in the alleys...
Could it have lost the strife to retort?
Or had it decided to cause unrighteous fright?
Planning ambushes in daylight, the horrid land tries to regain the limelight-
As the country of truth strategizes and builds its own plot.
Trickery traps the terrorizers- the foe loses sight,
Seeing as how its formidable enemy presents true might.
War begans, the threatener without a retreating resort.
Failing a third time to corner the valiant forces,
This country is assisted by a vile neighbour-
Which, for revenge against the land of honour,
Chose to hit it with all its forces.
The dreadful land watches behind its ally and cowers,
As two regions appreciate the gallant republic for its power
And the manical assassins reap more than thrice their own doses...
-Sahana Raghuraman
Note: This poem describes the fight between a spiteful country whose jealousy is doubled with the assist of another country, against a land whose silent power puts the two opposing regions to silence as well- but not the type of silence the threatened land inhibited. It shows the usual consequence of a war between vile forces and their so-called, 'rival', who is more than that to them- in fact, they are far more superior. This leads to two other countries appreciating the 'country of truth' for retaliating in a way well deserved for the opposing regions.
