Dawns to Dusks

                                           Dawns  to  Dusks

There sat a light at dawn,
A natural satellite at dusk.
Under the latter, I am a mere pawn-
Under the former, a quaint husk.

The dawn tints the skies
With a venerable vermillion,
While the dusk fills your eyes
With  any shade but cerulean.

Have  these hours ever counted?
Have they ever lasted enough?
Not yet-  though they have mounted
Peaks with  high crowns which were beyond  tough.

Nights, days,  a sight  among dreams and mares,
Noons and eves, both on sides extreme.
For midnight, dawn is   an incredible snare,
And  the hour by twilight, a  creation redeemed.

Indeed rare pleasures to the eyes,
Even more so to our minds.
A sight unforgettable, a memory that never dies,
Tying to us like inseparable binds.

Minutes and weeks, months and years,
Bring lives and innovations among ashes.
Mornings and evenings, strengths and fears,
Forgotten among the chaos and clashes.

Yet, two memories are etched in place:
The beginning celestial, our minds a virtual cellar-
And the sight before ends, a primal daze-
Bringing about dawns rich, and dusks stellar...
